Support for Farmers Starts with Mental Health
Rural communities face rising mental health challenges and help is just a call away during Mental Health Awareness Month and beyond.
According to the CDC, suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States, and the rate of farmers is 3.5 times the amount of the general population. Chances are that you or someone you know may be struggling with mental health, drug or alcohol issues and needs help.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to highlight how mental health impacts overall well-being and to share resources with those who need support.
The Suicide Crisis Lifeline is available to help by calling or texting 988, or visiting 988lifeline.org.
