New Holland Updates Roll-Belt 1 Series Round Balers for Model Year 2027

New Holland North America has announced Model Year 2027 updates to its Roll-Belt 1 Series round balers, adding durability improvements, a new net protection system, updated in-cab technology options and factory-fit automation.

The updates focus on improving baler performance in demanding hay and forage conditions while providing producers with additional equipment options. Changes include larger rollers and bearings in key wear areas, a new Bale Command eight display option, factory-fit IntelliBale automation and updated model naming for 5x6 configurations.

Durability Improvements Added to Wear Areas

For Model Year 2027, New Holland has added larger, heavier components to key wear areas on the Roll-Belt 1 Series, including the tailgate, back wrap and follower rollers.

The updated balers also feature larger bearings designed to support equipment reliability and durability during operation.

New Net Protection System Helps Manage Challenging Conditions

The updated Roll-Belt 1 Series 5x6 models include a new net protection system designed to improve net wrap performance in demanding conditions, including heavy cornstalk residue.

The system uses electro-hydraulic belt tension control during bale ejection. When the tailgate is raised, belt tension relaxes to stop belt movement and help reduce the potential for net damage as finished bales are ejected.

According to New Holland, the simplified design is intended to provide more reliable bale protection, improve baler reliability and reduce rebaling in challenging crop conditions such as straw and heavy cornstalk residue.

New Display and Automation Options

The Model Year 2027 Roll-Belt 1 Series updates introduce a new Bale Command eight color touchscreen monitor option. The display is designed for customers who do not require full ISOBUS functionality and who operate equipment across different fleets and capabilities.

New Holland is also adding a factory-fit IntelliBale round baler automation option. The configuration allows automation features to be enabled at the factory, with the bale presence switch included on the machine invoice.

The company said the factory-fit option is designed to reduce dealer setup and activation time while simplifying customer pricing.

Roll-Belt 561 Models Receive Updated Naming

New Holland is updating the names of four Roll-Belt 561 model configurations to better align equipment options with producer applications and production needs.

The updated configurations include:

• Hay Special: Designed for dry hay crop conditions.
• Specialty Crop: Designed for dry heavy crops and cornstalks.
• Silage Special: Designed for silage crop conditions.
• Bale-Slice: Designed to produce sliced dry hay and silage bales.

Availability

Pre-ordering is now available for Model Year 2027 Roll-Belt 1 Series round balers. Producers can contact their local New Holland dealer for information and pre-order options for the 2027 season.

The updated balers will also be displayed in New Holland booth No. 202 at the 2026 Farm Progress Show in Boone, Iowa.
