Mahindra Ag North America (MAgNA) hosted the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) this week at its Houston, Texas, headquarters to highlight the role of equipment manufacturing in the U.S. economy.

The event was part of AEM’s national bus tour, which spotlights manufacturers across the country. In Houston, the focus was on MAgNA’s more than 30 years of assembling tractors and utility vehicles for farmers, ranchers and rural property owners.

MAgNA opened its facilities to local students and educators to recognize the contributions of the 345,000 Texans and 2.3 million people nationwide, working in equipment manufacturing. The company also honored its U.S.-based employees and network of family-owned dealers.

“For over 30 years, Mahindra Ag North America has proudly stood at the intersection of innovation and purpose in the manufacturing landscape,” said Viren Popli, president and CEO of MAgNA. “This event provided a chance to celebrate manufacturing, our U.S. heritage and connect with students to explore career opportunities in agriculture and manufacturing.”

Attendees engaged with AEM staff through the “Manufacturing Challenge,” which introduced policies and programs that support industry jobs. The event also promoted AEM’s I Make America initiative, a grassroots campaign advocating for policies that strengthen U.S. manufacturing.

“The AEM Manufacturing Express is about celebrating the people behind the equipment and services our industry provides, including the workers at Mahindra Ag North America,” said Megan Tanel, AEM president and CEO. “It’s about honoring the hard work and ingenuity of the men and women who make our industry strong.”

In addition to celebrating the workforce, the event highlighted MAgNA’s recent product introductions. In 2021, the company relaunched its ROXOR side-by-side utility vehicle, designed for both farm chores and recreational use. More recently, it added the sub-compact 1100 and compact 2100 tractors, built for durability and ease of use by small farmers and property owners.

MAgNA assembles equipment at facilities in Houston, Texas, and Pontiac, Michigan. Its tractors feature operator-friendly designs, such as tilt telescopic steering, color-coded side-shift controls, intuitive panels and climate control options for comfort in the field.
