Loveland Products Introduces Extract XC for Residue Management
Loveland Products introduces Extract XC, a concentrated residue management product to improve nutrient efficiency and support soil health.
Loveland Products, Inc., has launched Extract XC, a concentrated version of its residue management product designed to improve nutrient efficiency and ease of use in crop production.
Extract XC builds on the company’s earlier Extract Powered by Accomplish product, using a new formulation that requires half the amount of product per acre compared to previous versions. The update aims to simplify application while maintaining proven performance in nutrient release and residue breakdown.
“Farmers are always looking for ways to get more out of every dollar they invest,” said Ron Calhoun, senior manager of plant nutrition at Loveland Products. “With Extract XC, they can get more nutrients working for their next crop while handling fewer jugs and making fewer passes. It’s about making fall fertility simpler, more efficient and more profitable.”
The product is designed to release nitrogen and sulfur from crop residue, which can otherwise tie up nutrients and limit fertilizer efficiency, early plant growth and yield potential. By combining microbial-derived biochemistry with ammonium thiosulfate, Extract XC accelerates residue breakdown, balances the carbon-to-nitrogen ratio and makes nutrients available to plants, even in cooler soil conditions.
Loveland Products notes that Extract XC can be integrated into fall fertility programs and applied with burndown treatments or liquid fertilizers. It is also compatible with herbicides such as glyphosate, allowing farmers to enhance nutrient availability without requiring additional field passes.
According to the company, the concentrated formulation improves nutrient use efficiency, supporting uptake of both residue-released nutrients and applied fertilizer. This, in turn, can help increase yield potential while reducing input costs. Loveland Products also cites long-term soil health benefits from improved nutrient cycling.
Extract XC is available through Nutrien Ag Solutions crop consultants and local retailers.
