Kubota Tractor Corporation has introduced the BX90 Series, a new sub-compact tractor platform with five models and three trim levels. The lineup includes the BX2190, BX2390 Deluxe, BX2690 Premium, BX2390S, and BX2690S Premium.

The new tractors are designed for tasks including snow removal, garden preparation, mowing, seasonal cleanup, and material handling. The BX90 Series will be available through Kubota authorized dealerships beginning in early 2027.

Loader Updates

Kubota has redesigned the loaders available for the BX90 Series. The new LA355 and LA405 loaders have maximum lift capacities of 721 and 904 pounds, respectively.

The BX2390 and BX2690 also receive increased hydraulic flow and pressure, along with quicker cycle times and improved response at lower engine speeds.

Other loader updates include dual bucket cylinders, an improved rollback angle, protected hose routing, and a redesigned loader cradle intended to make attachment and removal easier.

“The BX90 Series was designed around what today’s property owners value most: productivity, comfort, and choice, while building on the quality and versatility that has made Kubota a trusted leader in sub-compact tractors,” said Matt McDonald, senior product operations manager, Kubota Tractor Corporation. “From intuitive side-by-side HST pedals to enhanced loader and mower systems, every improvement is intended to help customers accomplish more with ease. And with three distinct trim levels, customers can choose the BX90 that best fits their property, applications, and priorities. At the top of the lineup, the Premium model brings modern displays, programmable settings, and advanced controls traditionally associated with larger tractors, combining the proven BX experience with technology designed around how customers work.”

Mower and Operator Features

The BX90 Series offers new 54- and 60-inch mower decks with welded-steel construction. The decks are available with either pin-on or drive-over capability.

An available Swift-Mount auto-coupling driveline connects the mower deck as the tractor travels over it, according to Kubota.

The tractors also feature side-by-side hydrostatic transmission pedals. Kubota said the pedal arrangement provides a more natural operating position and simplifies changes between forward and reverse.

Five Models

The BX2190 produces 19.3 gross horsepower and serves as the entry model in the new series. It uses the LA355 loader and is compatible with larger tires and a 60-inch mower deck.

The 21.6-gross-horsepower BX2390 Deluxe adds compatibility with the LA405 loader, electronically controlled PTO engagement, three-point hitch position control, telescopic stabilizers, and simplified mower-deck height adjustment.

At 23.9 gross horsepower, the BX2690 Premium is the highest-horsepower model in the standard BX90 lineup. It includes an electronically controlled engine, full-color LCD display, programmable engine-speed settings, and joystick-integrated throttle-up functionality. The system provides access to preset engine speeds for loader work.

The BX2390S and BX2690S Premium are backhoe-equipped models using the new BT604 backhoe, a dedicated flip-up seat, and an automatic stabilizer lock. The BX2690S Premium also uses the LA405 loader and enhanced hydraulic performance.

Kubota said the BX90 Series is intended for year-round work, including snow clearing, gardening, mowing, seasonal cleanup, and material handling, with compatibility for a range of implements.
