FAE announced an upgrade to its SSM line of forestry tillers, designed for tractors ranging from 170 to 300 horsepower. The updated SSM/HP models now include a side gearbox cooling system for improved performance, while all SSM versions feature interchangeable wear-resistant Hardox inner plates in the crushing chamber.

The SSM tillers are built for a wide range of agricultural and land management applications, including plantation and nursery maintenance, vineyard and orchard upkeep, agriculture tilling, soil reclamation and soil mixing. Capable of shredding roots and stumps up to 20 inches in diameter and working at depths of up to 16 inches, the equipment is suited for demanding field conditions.

Key technical elements include FAE’s central gearbox alignment system, side gearbox transmission and an adjustable Hardox counter blade. Optional features include an adjustable hood grille, a dozer blade and a rear hydraulic support roller for enhanced versatility.

The standard SSM model comes equipped with A/3 teeth, with A/3/HD and F/3 teeth available upon request. The tillers are offered in three widths: SSM-200, SSM-225, and SSM-250. The same sizes are available in the high-performance version as SSM/HP-200, SSM/HP-225, and SSM/HP-250.
