CNH, Bourgault Form Seeding Equipment Alliance
CNH and Bourgault will expand Case IH and New Holland seeding equipment with air drills, air carts, and digital technology.
CNH and Bourgault Industries have entered a strategic alliance that will expand CNH’s global seeding equipment portfolio, the companies announced on August 31.
Under the agreement, Bourgault will manufacture co-branded Case IH and New Holland equipment that will be distributed through CNH’s dealer network in North America, Australia, and other seeding markets.
The portfolio will include precision seeding air drill systems, high-capacity air carts, digital technology, and control systems.
The alliance is part of CNH’s Path to 2030 strategy and is intended to accelerate the company’s introduction of seeding equipment while combining Bourgault’s experience in seeding equipment with CNH’s dealer network and existing technology offerings.
The agreement means additional Case IH and New Holland seeding equipment will be added to CNH’s portfolio. The companies said the equipment will include air drills and air carts, along with digital technology and control systems.
CNH will continue supporting its current seeding product portfolio during a transition period.
The company’s production site in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, will continue manufacturing planters and headers for combine harvesters.
Expanding the Seeding Portfolio
Bourgault is a manufacturer of seeding equipment for large-scale operations. Through the alliance, its equipment will be supplied under the Case IH and New Holland brands and made available through CNH dealers.
“Our customers expect us to deliver a strong, comprehensive portfolio with the right technology behind it,” said Gerrit Marx, chief executive officer at CNH. “By combining complementary strengths, this alliance enhances our ability to compete, creates new opportunities for our dealers, and enables us to invest more in the technologies shaping the future of agriculture, including precision technology, automation, and integrated farming solutions. Alongside our own product investments, partnerships like this help us strengthen our portfolio and deliver even greater value to customers, all connected through our FieldOps digital platform.”
Bill Glanville, group president of Bourgault Industries Ltd., said the agreement will expand the company’s reach into additional markets.
“This strategic commercial alliance with CNH creates new opportunities to expand Bourgault Industries' reach and reflects our shared commitment to innovation, customer success, and creating greater value for farmers,” said Glanville. “CNH brings strong complementary capabilities and global reach, helping make Bourgault seeding technology available to more farmers in more markets.”
Focus on Seeding Technology
The expanded portfolio will combine Bourgault’s seeding equipment with CNH’s precision technology and digital offerings. CNH said the portfolio will include precision seeding air drill systems and high-capacity air carts, with digital technology and control systems.
CNH also identified soil health as a central part of its agriculture strategy. The company said it is increasing R&D investment focused on total farm health and plans to continue developing technology intended to support productivity while protecting soil.
The companies did not provide additional details about specific product models, pricing, or timing for the introduction of the co-branded equipment.
