AGCO is demonstrating autonomy, artificial intelligence (AI), and mixed-fleet connectivity during its annual Tech Day at Stewart Farms near Yorkville, Illinois.

The technologies are being demonstrated during fall harvest and span farm management, planting, weed control, harvest, grain handling, fertilizer application, tillage, and service support.

“Farmers judge technology by what it returns, not by what it promises,” said Eric Hansotia, AGCO's chairman, president and CEO. “At Tech Day, we are demonstrating autonomy, AI, and connected solutions in the conditions farmers work in every day, helping them get more value from every pass across the field.”

Connecting Mixed Fleets

AGCO’s PTx precision agriculture solutions are designed to work across brands and machines. The company uses a technology-focused dealer channel that combines PTx dealers, AGCO machine dealers, and OEM partnerships to offer retrofit and factory-fit solutions.

PTxFarmENGAGE connects mixed fleets through a common digital platform, while the Panorama intelligence platform uses machine and agronomic data to provide insights.

Aurora, AGCO’s AI assistant within Panorama, allows farmers to ask questions through voice or text and access maps, reports, and other information.

Planting and Weed Control

During planting demonstrations, Momentum planters, ArrowTube, and Panorama work together to support seed placement and crop emergence.

For weed control, a Fendt Rogator 900 equipped with SymphonyVision technology uses AI-enabled precision application capabilities to target weeds.

Harvest and Labor

AGCO is also demonstrating technology aimed at coordinating several operations that take place during the harvest period.

The company said harvest, grain handling, fertilizer application, and tillage can occur within the same six-to-eight-week period, creating labor challenges for farm operations.

At Tech Day, a Fendt IDEAL combine is operating alongside PTx’s OutRun mixed-fleet retrofit autonomy solution. The demonstration includes autonomous grain carts for tillage and in-field harvest logistics, while a Fendt Rogator applies fertilizer behind the harvest so nutrients can be incorporated before runoff losses occur.

"Our Farmer-First strategy starts with giving farmers more choice in how they adopt technology," said Hansotia. "Whether through the equipment they already own, the brands they prefer or the dealer relationships they trust, AGCO is focused on making practical innovation easier to access and more valuable in the field."

Service and Support

AGCO is also demonstrating FarmerCore, a distribution and service model that combines over-the-air updates, remote diagnostics, and expanded on-farm support.

The company said the technologies demonstrated at Tech Day are either commercially available or progressing toward commercial availability.

AGCO will also hold a presentation as part of Tech Day activities on October 6 at 5 p.m. Central Time. Hansotia and Damon Audia, president, PTx and corporate strategy, are scheduled to discuss the company’s strategy and precision agriculture business.
