Water efficiency is becoming increasingly important in today’s agriculture industry. To meet the challenge and support growers, irrigation equipment must offer precision, control and overall efficiency. Selecting the right products for your system goes beyond performance. It requires considering long-term durability, ease of maintenance, automation, remote access and customization.

These features can streamline irrigation operations and contribute to sustainable farming practices, making them essential factors for any grower looking to optimize water use.

Edge Controller

T-L Irrigation Co.'s Edge Controller

T-L Irrigation Co.'s Edge Controller is a fully remote system designed to streamline center pivot irrigation by relocating the control unit from the pivot point to the end tower. This change enhances operational accuracy and reliability while reducing the length of wiring needed, cutting down on potential failure points.

The controller integrates key sensors for water pressure, GPS position, direction and speed directly at the end tower to allow for real-time adjustments and closed-loop speed control. Only a low-voltage power supply is required through the pivot span. An optional Edge Solar package eliminates the need for a span cable by powering the system with solar panels, offering a fully wireless alternative that may reduce the risk of cable theft.

Compatible with both new and existing irrigation systems, this system enables fully remote monitoring and management from any connected device, helping growers improve water application efficiency and overall system performance.

C1325 Reel Rain Traveler

AMADAS Industries C1325 Reel Rain Traveler

The AMADAS Industries C1325 Reel Rain Traveler is a hard-hose irrigation system designed for efficient water application across medium to large fields. It is available with either a 6.5-horsepower gas mechanical drive or a Pelton wheel turbine drive, and features a 1,250-foot-long, 3.2-inch-diameter medium-density polyethylene hose.

It includes a two-speed gearbox with a two-step pulley for adjustable hose retrieval speeds, and its mechanical level-wind hose guide ensures consistent retraction. A galvanized Nelson SR150 gun on a heavy-duty M11 guncart delivers water coverage at 80 psi. The unit is equipped with a mechanical reel speed compensator, hose speed indicator and automatic shut-off to prevent hose misalignment.

The chassis includes fold-down stabilizer legs, a multi-position tow hitch and a heavy-duty turntable design for maneuverability. With a lane spacing of 240 feet, the system can irrigate up to 7.4 acres in a single pull, delivering 1 inch of water over an 11- to 12-hour cycle.

Lindsay’s non-directional radial tire

Lindsay’s non-directional radial tire is built for a range of soil conditions, including rugged environments. A patented Z tread pattern helps navigate uneven terrain, while the flat face design minimizes rutting to preserve field integrity.

The tire offers 20% more contact area than standard 11.2x28-inch and 11.2x38-inch bias-ply tires, improving traction and reducing soil compaction. Its construction includes materials that resist ozone and ultraviolet (UV) exposure to help extend service life in demanding outdoor conditions.

Available in three sizes — 11.2x24 for 8-inch rims, 12.4x38 for 10-inch rims and 14.9x24 for 12-inch rims — the tire suits medium to heavy-duty irrigation applications. A flexible sidewall helps absorb shocks from rough terrain, promoting smoother system operation and reduced wear. Engineered for flotation in both dry and wet soil, it supports reliable center pivot movement and helps limit downtime, even when weather conditions turn unpredictable.

E3

Reinke Manufacturing E3

Reinke Manufacturing introduced E3, a new precision series of center pivot irrigation systems designed to improve water efficiency and application accuracy across various field conditions. The system features uniform coupler spacing — available in 30- and 60-inch intervals — to deliver consistent water distribution along the entire pivot.

Customizable with spans from 80 to 220 feet and end booms up to 110 feet, E3 aims to provide flexibility without compromising uniformity. New engineering enhancements include ReinLock, an anti-racking truss system for added stability, and V-ring pipe seals, which help maintain uninterrupted water flow. A single-leg tower design reduces crop disruption, while maintenance-free bearings and corrosion-resistant materials aim to minimize upkeep. The system also includes ESAC technology to better irrigate field corners.

According to U.S. Department of Agriculture benchmarks, E3 surpasses traditional water uniformity standards and will be available in select markets during the 2025 growing season.
